Quick update
I sincerely apologize for those waiting to hear what's going on. Here's a quick timeline of events.

11/21 ~ Upper GI. . .showed DEFINITE reflux but with aspiration

11/22 ~ Appointment made with pediatric gastro doctor for 12/8

11/24 ~ Thanksgiving in Tulsa

12/3 ~ Baby shower for my sister

12/8 ~ Dad's birthday and appointment with doctor who told us to be prepared to send Pruitt for surgery ASAP. This is where breakdown occurred with Chris & I.

12/9 ~ After numerous discussions with our pediatrician, and after he had discussions with the pediatric gastro doc, another pediatric gastro doc at Children's Hospital and a surgeon, he makes us an appointment for a second opinion on 12/12.

12/10 ~ Surprise birthday party for my mom and dad.

12/11 ~ Surprise birth of my new nephew Easton. While at the hospital, the pediatrician stops by and we have a chat. He learned more info on the difficult upper GI and believes the aspiration was a mere fluke.

12/12 ~ Second opinion appointment with a new doctor who says the first doctor leapfrogged straight to surgery. She put Pru on 3 new medicines and we go back on 12/20.

Now, fill in the blank days with sleepless nights, lots of cake making, lots of planning, and now lots of time helping my sister and I've had NO time to do ANYTHING. . .including laundry so if you are near me, don't take a deep breath :)

I thank EVERYONE for their prayers and support. I sure hope these medicines work for him, but so far, he's been a lot crankier than before. We'll keep praying and trying. It means so much to have you all thinking of us.

I also hope to have more computer time, but between my two boys, Christmas, Carly & Easton and my 500+ emails. . .looks like it'll be more towards the new year before things even remotely calm down ;)

By the way. . .I now know what a 6lb baby looks like!! SO SMALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's almost 7:45 am CST on Monday and I'M AWAKE!!! The thing is, I must take Kisser to the hospital for an upper GI in hopes that they can rid him of his vomitting/spitting up/hiccuping/reflux stuff. No. You're right. No one in cyber-land knows this. Why?? Cause I've just flat run out of time lately. Sorry. I deeply apologize. If you are really ticked and insist on finding out the latest, feel free to email me. I'll update you.

So while I'm killing time before I leave, I was reading one of my fav blogs. And from there, I skipped on over to another blog that I somtimes read. And now, thanks to good ole AB, I'm singing, "I've been working on the railroad. . .all the live long day" and that conjurs (Gretchen or Kristy. . .is that spelled right??) up images of summers in Tulsa at my grandparent's daycare center. Aren't you glad you took the time to read this? May it be stuck in your head all the live long day. :)

Holy smokes. . .I'm still recovering and had to share this with my cyber friends/people/readers/stalkers :)

I'm attending my first NBA game tonight with my dad, the boys, my sis & brother-in-law. So dad emails me in his normal "manner" asking what my plans were for this evening. Now, he thinks he's all up on computer and technology. Here's how the "conversation" went.

Me ~ Ummmm. . . depends ;)
Dad ~ Ummmmmmmm on what : );()()
Me ~ Is this ": );()()" you being a smart butt?!?!?!
Dad ~ I just thought I would prove I can speak sign language also
Me ~ *laughing of course* Ok, then just so you know I'm ROTFLOL Try THAT one!
Dad ~ Rolling on the floor like old ladies

You can't make this stuff up folks. That's TOTALLY dad!! So I replied that now I was ROTFLMFBO & PIMP. No response yet. I love that man for just that reason! :)

I must confess. I love love LOVE football. I don't so much enjoy college, but I will sit in the same spot ALL DAY SUNDAY just to watch the pros. I am particularly looking forward to next week's MNF game - Dallas vs Philly and I think the Eagles should wave bye bye to Mr. T.O., but I digress.

Growing up, it was always a big deal to catch the "Monday Night Football song" and now, Cale LOVES to catch the song so we usually make sure to have the system cranked. DANG. I digress again!! :D

So last night, we're watching the opening with Dennis Quaid and catch the song and it goes over to Al & John in the booth. Cale asked who they were. I tell him, "See the guy on the left with the dark hair? His name is Al. And the big guy on the right with white hair? His name is John." Cale looked at the TV and smiled and said, "Momma? That's John?" *insert nod here* "His face looks like a big 'ole flour tortilla." I about fell off the couch, Pruitt in hand. You can't tell me THAT'S not funny!! LOL Ahhhh. . .the things they say.

On another note. . .I get to proudly post my 3 month medal. Here ya go. I can't tell you how proud I am!!

Like most, I firmly believe in some stuff, but I try not to push it on people. That's just me - trying to stay away from confrontation. BUT, since Cale's birth, I'll easily and quickly get on my soap box in regards to breastfeeding.

I did not get to bf Cale. It breaks my heart, but when I got pregnant with Pruitt, I was DETERMINED, I don't even think that word puts it in perspective, but I was going to bf him, not pump for almost a year like I had to with Cale.

While at Chili's, they were doing their St. Jude's fundraiser and I saw them all wearing their red bracelets. Then I remembered the bracelet fad got started with Lance Armstrong. I wanted one too. . .but I wanted it to be something that I don't only care about, I want to be passionate about it.

Then one day, I was browsing around The Baby Wearer and ran across a link to Cause Keepers. Not only do they have a plethora of items, but they have one that is dear to my heart. That was my lightbulb moment!!

I've been trying to post since Monday, but life is a bit busy. . .don't understand why! ;)

Regardless, I had to post this picture. I took it Sunday night while Pruitt was nursing.

LOOK AT THOSE CHUNKY HAMS!! I am absolutely in love with this rolly boy. On Friday he weighed in a nice and healthy 14lbs 14oz and he was 10 1/2 weeks old. He's growing SO fast but is such an incredible blessing. I just love him so much!! I'm amazed everyday by the intense love for my boys. And after seeing this pic, you're going to love Pruitt as much as I do!

Ya know, by nature, I'm not the type to talk about bodily functions, unless it happens to be trying to conceive! LOL But, much to the pleasure of Gretchen and her poop obsession I'm sure, I am jumping on the POSTING OF POOP bandwagon ;)

A week or two ago (I have NO concept of time anymore!) I called Bubba at work. Here's how the conversation went.

Me ~ Bubba, I just called to tell you why it's ME at home and not you.

Him ~ *insert nervous laughter here* Oh no, what happened?

Me ~ Pruitt pooped.

Him ~ Ummm. . .ok. He does that.

Me ~ Yeah, he does, but I went to change his diaper and he wasn't done so it got on the second diaper underneath.

Him ~ LOVELY!

Me ~ Oh, it doesn't end there. I started to wipe him off again, but he STILL wasn't done, so I let him finish.

Him ~ *Laughing*

Me ~ So when I went to clean him up AGAIN, I lifted his legs and I guess I added too much pressure because he pooped again.

Him ~ That's my boy!! *laughing still*

Me ~ Bubba. . .it wasn't just dripping poop, this was PROJECTILE poop!! All over his outfit, all over the changing pad, all over the changing table, across the diaper caddy and clean diapers, on ME, and, get this dude, ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!

Him ~ NO. WAY.

Me ~ See! I told you that you should be glad you're at work.

Him ~ Oh man! That's when I would have started screaming and run away. That's way too much for me to handle!

Luckily this was a ONE TIME event. By the time it was on the floor I was laughing my big 'ole hiney off. And we did this to ourselves on purpose. . .now there's irony for you!

The game I'll never forget

As most of you know, I'm a big OU (University of Oklahoma) fan. . .shoot. . .I graduated there in 2001. I am also a HUGE football fan, therefore the PERFECT scenario would be to watch OU football. My dad called and wanted me to attend the OU/K State game with him on Saturday night. It's the first night game of the season. Although I'm still having incision issues, I JUMPED at the chance to go, not only for my love of the Sooners but also for my sanity! ;)

Dad drives 100 mph to get there and we make our way into the stadium. As we are heading to our seats, my dad literally, and I mean LITERALLY, brushes by a very small man whom smiled as I made eye contact with him and we smile and nod out of courtesy. . .until we both look at each other in shock. Was it?? Could it be?? But why would HE be here?? In Norman, OK. And if it was him, man he's small, and isn't he supposed to race in Talledega tomorrow?. . .and I still HATE HIM!!! And did I say he was small?????

That shocker took me a LONG time to recover from. I even called Bubba at home and told him to be on the look out to see if the news covered his attendance, but they didn't!

The second thing that made this game unforgettable was a big bang that we heard behind us during the second quarter. I knew something was wrong, but had no clue. A man killed himself by detonating a pipe bomb. You can read about it here. That also shocked me and shook me up pretty good once we found out what had happened. We would have never known had my mom not called my dad and told him we were in lockdown. Thank God for cell phones eh?

So as you can "see," a game that was to be non eventful and fun, turned into a celebrity seeing, "explosive" and also Wildcat butt whipping game. Never a dull moment. And hey, BOOMER SOONER!

Totally Angry
Topic: My Boys
Do people seriously not think before they say things? This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I was raised that you think before you speak so you are sure not to say something that will insult someone or say something that you truly don't mean. Adults, and even young adults should know this!!

Two comments were made to me last night by people related to me (that will remain nameless). These comments were made within 15 minutes of each other too and it took every piece of my being not to unload on the two that said these hideous things.

First comment: It has become widely known that A. I was against giving Pruitt a pacifier (this stems from issues with Cale and breastfeeding). and B. Pruitt refuses a pacifier 9 times out of 10. When trying to calm him in the restaurant, this comment was made - "Well, that little booger! He just won't take that pacifier! He just got to nursing and thinks that's better than anything. Oh well!"

UMMMMM HELLO!?!?! Nursing is better in my opinion!! And even KNOWING what strife I went through trying to get Cale to nurse, you make an insensitive comment like that?!?!

Second comment made, and this one liked to have exploded my heart with fury. Cale was being asked what he learned at school yesterday. He proudly told the asking party, "I learned the letter 'B' today!" The response - "Um. Ok. Like, whatever!!" *insert the eye rolling here*

THE KID IS THREE!! If this person EVER stomps on his pride again, I swear I'll take her out myself. To him learning a letter is a HUGE MASSIVE thing and to totally push it aside like he's ignorant makes me livid.

I know most moms reading this feel the rage too. . .just pray that I don't see these people for awhile. Or better yet, pray that they gain some sensitivity, if not towards me, at least towards my children.

Cale-isms
Topic: Momma's Lover Dover
Cale. . .boy howdy does this child test me, but I love him with a love that is deep and, like every mother, unconditional. He's stubborn and ornery, but he says the FUNNIEST things. We now refer to these as "Cale-isms." When these occur, there are phone calls made to his daddy, his Oma and especially his Odie. Here are some of the latest Cale-isms.

This morning I had asked him three times to take his socks off. Finally I said, "TAKE. YOUR. SOCKS. OFF. NOW." To which he replied, "THEY. ARE. TOO. HARD."

He was looking out of the window with Bubba one day at the ped's office and nonchalantly said, "Daddy, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

He called to me last week and said, "Momma? Is that your big 'ole butt?"

When I asked him to get his Peter Rabbit book out of the book basket, he looked up at me and said, "Seriously?"

He had gone out to eat with Oma & Odie and saw a woman standing on the corner and as PC as I am not, I'm going to say she was Muslim with her long dress on and head covering. Cale got all excited and shouted, "OMA!! LOOK!! It's God!!"

He often looks at my dad's head and innocently says, "Odie? Where'd all your hair go?"

During an "altercation" with my father about getting into the car, he alerted his Odie to the fact that HE was the boss, not Odie.

These are just the ones that I can think of right now. There are so many more and I know I should write them down as they happen, but most of the times we can't get ourselves off the floor from laughing in time. But stay tuned, this kid is a freaking riot.
